Our soft launch prior to Christmas was with the objective of ironing out any production issues, checking that we could meet deadlines (we did! *wipes brow*) and being able to cope with any unforeseen issues along the way. Mission accomplished!
From a media perspective, we also had a softly softly approach and reached out only to those people with whom we have a relationship – ‘media friends’ of StyleRocks, if you like.
That said, we were amazed by the quality and variety of coverage we received! Some of the highlights include:
1. Nigel Freitas of Sky News Business profiled StyleRocks and called us a ‘fashion revolution’! Watch the video here
2. Daily Addict – the arbiter of what’s hip and happening – called StyleRocks a ‘genius solution‘
4. Lifestyle.com.au – one of Australia’s biggest lifestyle sites – said we’re the perfect Christmas present
5. Rescu.com.au – expert advice for an expert life – commissioned us to write a piece on how to choose jewellery
We also had a small print mention in the Sunday Telegraph, one of the leading Sunday newspapers, describing us as ‘DIY Design’.
Focusing on the startup nature of the business, we also did an interview with StartupSmart, the online publication and a radio interview (first ever!) with the amazing and energetic Angela Vithoulkas of Eagle Waves Radio, who also happens to run the Vivo Cafes here in Sydney.
TV, online, radio and print – it was busy press-wise for a ‘soft’ press launch for StyleRocks!
