StyleRocker Kelly: making performance coaching her own

This is the first of our series profiling various StyleRockers. Here we learn about them – and their favourite StyleRocks pieces of course!

Kelly Fischl was our first subject. Director of leadership and performance coaching company Coaching Ink, Kelly’s work (full bio below) focuses on creating flourishing and high-performing workplaces. Kelly discovered StyleRocks as it fulfilled two of her favourite criteria: ‘interesting’ and ‘online’.

Kelly modelled some StyleRocks jewellery for us  – and beautifully we think too. Here are our favourite pics:

We also asked Kelly a few questions while she modelled some StyleRocks jewellery for us:

WHAT ARE YOUR 3 JEWELLERY ESSENTIALS?
A well-made Swiss watch, statement ring – I love my rose gold morganite ring –  and diamond earrings.

WHERE DID YOU SPEND YOUR TIME THIS SUMMER?
I’ve spent a lot of time in the water this summer and have some major tan lines to prove it. From Hawaii for my birthday, to Fiji with friends, and the coastal town of Kiama with family.

CITY WITH YOUR FAVOURITE JEWELLERY MEMORIES?
After one too many Mai Tai’s in Honolulu a few years ago I somehow ended up in a secure room trying on a selection of Tiffany’s largest diamond rings. Thankfully nothing was purchased under the influence but it was fun.

FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT/DRINK?
Easy! China Doll. The food is delicious and location wise it is one of the best places in Sydney to spend a sunny afternoon people watching with a lychee martini.

IS THERE A PARTICULAR STYLE OR JEWELLERY TREND YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE WOMEN WEARING.
Women wearing men’s watches. I have a classic Longines watch that is typically a man’s watch. I just love the masculine look and feel.

FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP ONLINE?
Other than StyleRocks for all my jewellery essentials, I would have to say Net-a-Porter – I love their selection and easy return policy. I just purchased my wedding dress from there!

WHAT ARE YOU READING RIGHT NOW?
Lean In by Sheryl Sandberg

WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED PIECE OF JEWELLERY?
I have two, the first is an old ring that belonged to my grandmother. It’s a beautiful large green stone from New Zealand with an art deco feel. It reminds me of her. The second is my new engagement ring, which is truly special!

WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2014, ANY BIG DREAMS, NEW DESTINATIONS OR PLANS IN THE PIPELINE?
On a personal note, getting married, honeymoon in Paris and starting a family. Professionally, continuing to develop my leadership and career coaching business and changing the way people exist at work.

WHICH 5 PEOPLE (dead or alive) WOULD YOU LIKE TO INVITE TO DINNER & WHY?
Mandela, Martin Seligman, Brene Brown, Shawn Achor, and (trying not to sound dull) my fiancé Rupert, he makes me laugh.

We’ll be back with more StyleRocker profiles – but if you’d like to model for us, please drop us a line!
