Welcome to the second of our StyleRockers profile pieces.
Hacy Tobias is our next interviewee. Running her own business in health & wellness, Hacy was able to bring the skills and experience gained in the corporate space to her new career. Hacy is also an author of ‘The Diaries of a Corporate Princess’ which outlines her transition from corporate arena to the world of small business. Hacy is an avid fan of StyleRocks, which she discovered in 2013 and is hoping to expand on her current blue topaz collection with coming anniversaries.
Here are some of the amazing pictures from Hacy’s shoot; we really focused on blue gemstones, being Hacy’s favourites!
The shoot took place in the beautiful Strand Arcade, Sydney
The blue of the cocktail ring matched the handbag perfectly!
Again, all images by Jade Warne.
Hacy answered our Q&A below:
WHAT ARE YOUR 3 JEWELLERY ESSENTIALS?
Rings, watch and bracelet.
WHERE DID YOU SPEND YOUR TIME THIS SUMMER?
CITY WITH YOUR FAVOURITE JEWELLERY MEMORIES?
Sydney, where my husband proposed and my engagement ring comes from. I have received or bought all my jewellery in Sydney.
FAVOURITE PLACE TO EAT/DRINK?
My favourite restaurant is Bistro Moncur; their cheese souffle is my favourite dish in the world! To drink – anywhere with a great view of Sydney Harbour!
IS THERE A PARTICULAR STYLE OR JEWELLERY TREND YOU WOULD LIKE TO SEE MORE WOMEN WEARING.
Yes, I would like to see more women buying their own rings rather than waiting for someone to give them one. Women should buy a fabulous ring to celebrate a key milestone in their life.
FAVOURITE PLACE TO SHOP ONLINE?
StyleRocks of course! Although, as a film afficionado, I do buy quite a few films from Amazon UK.
WHAT ARE YOU READING RIGHT NOW?
Jack Canfield’s “Coaching for Breakthrough Success”. He is the author of “The Success principles” and ‘Chicken Soup For the Soul” ‘series.
WHAT IS YOUR MOST TREASURED PIECE OF JEWELLERY?
My engagement ring.
WHAT ARE YOU MOST LOOKING FORWARD TO IN 2014, ANY BIG DREAMS, NEW DESTINATIONS OR PLANS IN THE PIPELINE?
Seeing my business explode and helping members of my team to have enormous success. Having some chill out time later in the year is also on my list. Helping more women to have their own business and be financially independent is a very important goal this year. There are 44,000 women who sleep homeless every night in Australia. In such an incredible country as Australia, this number is shameful. I support a day centre for homeless women in Sydney. I want to do a lot more in that area, as well as helping women so they are not living in poverty when they retire. This is my driving passion in what I do, business wise.
WHICH 5 PEOPLE (dead or alive) WOULD YOU LIKE TO INVITE TO DINNER & WHY?
Hmmm, that is a hard question. JRR Tolkien, Chris Arygris, David McClelland were all people I had hoped to meet but died before that happened. St Teresa of Avalon as she was a very feisty nun who was centuries before her time and HG Wells, a man very much a head of his time.
